Superworms are the larvae stage of the Zophobas morio beetle. They grow to 2" in length and 1/4" in diameter. Unlike mealworms, Superworms can not pupate without each superworm being isolated for 2 weeks or so. This is due to the constant body contact from the other larvae. They have a long shelf life, are easily digestible by many reptiles, birds, fish, and mammals. Chickens love them. Do not Refrigerate. Refrigeration can kill Superworms!
