<p>A unique hardy hibiscus with brightly variegated creamy-white and bluish-green foliage. The summer flowers are clear soft pink and double. It is a sterile cultivar that does not produce seeds. It prefers full sun to partial shade, and tolerates poor soils and some drought. It is very tolerant of summer heat and humidity. Prune to shape in spring. A Proven Winners introduction.</p>
<p>Plant was discovered in a controlled outdoor nursery environment in Independence, MO. It is a naturally-occuring branch mutation of Hibiscus syriacus 'Lady Stanley back in 2001. <p>Prefers well-drained soil. Pruning is best done immediately after flowering; Prune back in early spring before new growth begins to shape. Medium moisture. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. This is a slow growing plant and may need a year in the landscape before it increases in size.</p>
<p>Like most variegated plants, occasional reversions to the original green form may occur. These should be pruned out as needed.</p>
